Sewickley Public Library can help your kids avoid "Summer Slide"! Many children experience some learning loss over the summer months away from school, causing them to fall behind when they get back to school.
Your library helps prevent that with some fun, free opportunities!
**Register for informative, fun programs: We often partner with local professionals, such as environmental educators, artists, authors, etc. to offer unique programs for our patrons. Our staff provides many interactive storytimes too!
**Download and print 'Summer Stay-on-Track' Packs from Scholastic Teachables, which are accessed for free with your Sewickley Public Library Card! SPL Children's online offers other resources for learning fun, as well as Teachables.
**Register for Dog Tales: One Sunday a month, the Children's Dept. hosts therapy dogs who love to listen to young readers practice reading to become more confident, fluent, and capable.
**We have books for everyone! Plus, electronic resources for those who are without access at home, physical puzzles, games, music, & audio books.
