Day 15 of Building a Golf Training Facility in Pittsburgh

This week has been all about checking boxes. ✅

The work might not be flashy, but every item completed gets us one step closer to opening the doors.

This week’s construction checklist:
✔️ Dig out the base for the retaining wall
✔️ Pass base inspection
✔️ Install stone for the wall foundation
✔️ Receive wall materials
🔨 Build the retaining wall

A lot of what goes into building something from the ground up happens before anyone sees the finished product. The foundation work isn’t always exciting, but it’s what everything else depends on.

One item at a time. One week at a time. One step closer to creating a place where golfers can train, improve, and belong.

I asked Tim what he’s most excited about when these doors finally open.

His answer wasn’t TrackMan.
It wasn’t the simulators.
It wasn’t even the putting green.

It’s the people.

For years, he’s worked to build something special at Elite Custom Fitness - a place where people show up for their workouts but stay because of the culture, relationships, and community. Now, he gets the opportunity to bring that same feeling into the golf world.

A place where golfers of all skill levels can improve their game, learn from great coaches, challenge each other, and genuinely enjoy being here.

The facility is being built with golf in mind, but the vision has always been bigger than that.

We’re not just building a place to practice.

We’re building a place to belong.

Everyone wants to see the finished product.

Not everyone is willing to do what it takes to build it.

Flash back to Day 1 and compare it to today.

Less than two weeks ago, this was a parking lot. Now it’s nearly ready for the foundation of what will become Elite Golf Performance.

This project has required belief, patience, sacrifice, and a willingness to bet on a vision long before anyone else can see it.

The exciting part?

We’re still just getting started.

POV: You’re watching a grown-up claw machine.

The objective? Grab a retaining wall post that’s been buried in the ground for years.

The catch? Instead of taking 10 seconds and costing $1, it takes a giant machine, several hours, and a lot of patience.

Today’s prize: one less post standing in the way of the future home of Elite Golf Performance.

Slowly but surely, we’re clearing the way for what’s next.

Day 8. New high score. ⛳️

Day 7 of building a golf performance facility in Pittsburgh.

No construction update today.

And if you've met Tim, you know that's not his favorite kind of update.

So instead of watching progress on the building, we spent some time watching something that's been years in the making - the community inside Elite Custom Fitness.

Athletes training together.
Coaches investing in people.
Members pushing each other to improve.
Friendships built through shared goals and hard work.

As exciting as the simulators, technology, and coaching spaces will be, that's not what we're most excited about.

We're excited about building a place where golfers want to be.

A place where they train together.
Learn from each other.
Celebrate progress together.
And become part of a community that's invested in helping everyone get better.

The golf facility may be new, but the foundation won't be.

We're taking everything we've learned about coaching, accountability, and community over the years and bringing it into golf.

That's the vision.

And that's why we can't wait for construction to start moving again tomorrow.

Day 6 of construction.

But honestly, this project is closer to Day 700.

For nearly two years, we’ve been planning, dreaming, designing, and preparing for what Elite Golf Performance can become.

While the building is just getting started, our coaches and golfers aren’t waiting around. Coach Colin continues helping clients improve, our partnership with Avoda Golf continues to grow, and the excitement for what’s ahead keeps building.

The facility may still be under construction.

The future of Elite Golf Performance isn’t.

No progress on site today, so Little Timmy decided to grab the keys and get to work himself.
