Members of our group have been hard at work packing food boxes and distributing them to our immigrant neighbors impacted by ICE operations.

ICE continues to target bread winners, leaving behind spouses and children that need our help with food, supplies, bill assistance and more.

Facts:
- Immigrants have a positive effect on our wages.
- Immigrants are not taking our jobs. These deportations actually hurt our economy and slow down or halt production.
- Immigrants pay all kinds of taxes.. sales tax, property tax, business tax.
- Immigrants have a LOWER incarceration rate than US born citizens
- Almost half of Immigrants are naturalized citizens, who did it 'the right way'
- Our wars create refugees!

This is hopefully the beginning of something bigger. Our goal is to one day have community mutual aid in Sevier County that surpasses food and clothing drives. Real community driven support. Stay tuned!

And calls himself a damn Christian! My friends that provide refugee assistance got this alert today. Imagine having to tell families that we committed to assist that “nah, we changed our minds and we are going back on our promise to your family.” We will no longer care for your very sick child. Not a damn thing “Christian” about that. And let me be clear, this policy is violence against children.

Blow up the phones at the guvs office, the number is in the pic!

“URGENT ALERT
Immigrant families with children battling terminal illnesses and serious chronic conditions—including Cystic Fibrosis, Sickle Cell Disease, Diabetes, congenital heart conditions, severe asthma, and seizure disorders—will receive a call telling them they must disenroll from the program providing their child’s life-saving healthcare or risk being reported to ICE.

Tennessee is the only state in the nation telling terminally ill toddlers that, based on where they were born, they will lose access to the health care their lives depend on.”
