Its Christmas in July! I try to do gift baskets every year for single parents but this requires the help of others!

Last day for basket donations is Dec 17th. This year doesnt look as promising as last year. I probably will not get to do the mens baskets because the only donation offer Ive received towards that is from a barber shop. In order to stretch the donations, I may do gift bags instead of baskets. I'm very thankful for all I've received so far and I know God always has a plan. If this touches even one heart, that is truly all that matters.

These are just ideas!! Thank you for being willing! I filled 51 baskets last year and single parents from Sevier, Jefferson, Cocke, and Knox county received baskets! If you would like to help with the baskets, let me know!!

The Bible tells us being single is a gift because we are better able to focus on what God is doing. As single parents, we are doubly gifted because we get the chance to not only focus on what God is doing, but what our children are doing. We are blessed with the reward of watching them turn into amazing people, and our opportunity to be a huge part of that is important!!!

Single mothers get a lot of attention, but I want to give a major shout out to the single dad's out there. The men who took on raising their kids when the woman skipped out. The men who co-parent with their exes like a boss. The men who lost the love of their life prematurely and were thrust into single parenting all at once. The stepdads who took on kids as their own when they didn't have to, then raised them when the mom walked out, too. Adoptive single dads who saw a child in desperate need of love and care and stepped up to the plate. You're amazing. All of you. We need more men in the world who live out the definition of "man" the way you all do!!! Happy Fathers Day!!!

I just want to wish a Happy Mothers Day to all the single moms and the single dads who have to play both mom and dad!! You rock, you're amazing, and you are so incredibly special!
