We had 14 participants brave the heat on Saturday for our River Cleanup at Pirates Voyage in partnership with Ocean Connections, Inc.! This dedicated crew removed 140.75 pounds of trash from the river, river banks, and greenway path. Way to go! π
We are so grateful for the change that can happen when community members come together. Let's keep the momentum going as we strive to meet our "50 for 250" goal of removing 50,000 pounds of litter from Sevier County in honor of America's 250th anniversary! πΊπΈπͺ

We're changing things up this year with guest speakers from organizations like the National Park Service to delve deeper into how kids can care for our local resources!

Please join us in extending our gratitude to the volunteers that came out to the Sevierville Boys and Girls Club this week for our Golden Stewards: Bloom Together event. It was hard work digging, planting, weeding, and mulching the garden beds!
We are also very grateful to Lowe's for donating all the flowers, shrubs, and herbs for the enjoyment of all the students!

It's not too late to πΈ BLOOM πΈ with us tomorrow morning during our Golden Stewards meetup! Join us as we beautify the Boys and Girls Club by planting flowers and shrubs for the next generation!
All gardening tools and gloves will be provided. Participants should wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots and clothes that can get dirty, pack plenty of water, and bring a raincoat.
