We love seeing our crafters have a great time exploring the diverse range of crafts and activities in our Unearth a Story Summer Reading program at the libraries. Just yesterday, on June 18, these fortunate crafters made beautiful patriotic and woodland-moss trees to enhance their home decor at the King Family Library!

On June 16, the adults participating in the Unearth a Story Adult Summer Reading program at the Gilreath Family Kodak Branch Library crafted these brightly colored, lovely tin foil stained-glass art pieces to take home.
Next week, on Tuesday, June 23, adults are invited to the Gilreath Family Kodak Branch Library for a come-and-go craft day from 10 AM-3 PM.

On June 17, a friendly rivalry unfolded between younger and older teens as they raced to complete all the challenges in the Unearth a Story Escape Room at the King Family Library. A huge thank you to Deb for crafting the engaging games and props that made the experience so interactive! A big shout-out to the younger teens for their victory!

We'll see everyone today, June 18, at 11 AM as we welcome Rudy Uresti for Magic, Comedy, & More Show at the King Family Library in Sevierville for the Unearth A Story summer reading program.
If you miss the morning show, you can catch another performance at 2 PM today at the Gilreath Family Kodak Branch Library in Kodak, or join us at the Williams Family Seymour Branch Library at 11 AM on Friday, June 19.
This family variety show is open to the public and completely free of charge.

Facebook Live Craft Time – June 24
Paper Chain Flag
Join us as Vickie shares how to make an updated version of a paper chain American flag in honor of America 250 during this month’s Facebook Live Craft Time! We’ll see you at noon on June 24th to find out how to make your own paper flag chain!
Please gather the following supplies to complete the craft:
• Scissors, or a paper trimmer/cutter
• Ruler, if using scissors
• Paper in patriotic colors - we used red, white, & blue cardstock
• Stapler and staples
• Paper stars

Summer Fun for Kids
With summer temperatures climbing, are you on the hunt for a fun, free way to keep the kids busy during the hottest part of the day? Why not let them join the Ancient World LEGO Challenge at the Makerspace in the King Family Library? Work together as a family or focus on individual projects to recreate some of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World.

A Day of Fun at the Mini Olympic Games
Laura and the teens who participated in the mini Olympic games today, part of the Unearth a Story Summer Reading program at the Williams Family Seymour Branch Library, were fortunate to enjoy fantastic weather, particularly for June!
The teens engaged in classic field day activities, including:
*3-legged races
*Egg toss
*Sack races
*Water cup races
*Wiffleball
*Tug-of-war!
From the pics, it looks like everyone had a great time!
Next week, on June 23, teens can drop in from 10 am-3 pm to enjoy a make & take craft day for summer reading!
