On June 17, 2017 the rural town of Slocomb, Alabama paid homage to a prolific vegetable at the annual Tomato Festival, as seen in these photos from this Saturday by Real Florida Media, a subsidiary of The Goulding Agency in Chipley, Florida.

The event included non-stop entertainment, over 60 vendors and all the typical festival fare, including funnel cakes, turkey legs and 'blooming onions’, and the crowd responded eagerly to the offerings.
