Scammers lie and pretend to be an FTC employee to trick you into giving them money, access to your financial accounts, or your personal information. In a new twist, they falsely claim they’re an FTC “agent” that can help you recover money you lost in a scam.
Here’s how this new FTC impersonator scam works:
-You get an unexpected message from a contact you don’t know
-They say they’re an FTC employee or “agent” (they’re not) and they can help you “recover losses” (they can’t) from a previous scam
-To “verify” their identity and gain your trust, they send you a photo of an employee ID and a badge (all fake)
Don’t buy the story. It’s really an FTC impersonator trying to get money or financial information from you with a refund and recovery scam. Read more at: https://www.cnbtn.com/2026/06/08/a-real-ftc-employee-wont-text-you-their-photo-id-to-verify-their-identity/

We’re so proud to sponsor this organization again this season!

Today's we're giving a special budget-season shout out to our first corporate sponsors to renew their support of AACA programs for the coming season. Citizens National Bank, Athens Branch, is a Presenting Sponsor, which means their continued investment helps bring concerts, plays, and more to our community.

Shown here are Bank President Jason Holliman, Athens Branch Manager, Julie Jones, and Senior Vice President, Todd Watson, as well as associates Stacey Hester, Victoria Oathout, and Danielle Roberts, presenting a check to AACA Vice President, Patti Greek and Executive Director, Lauren Brown.

We are grateful for CNB's generous contribution as part of their commitment to proudly serve their communities.

We would love to have the disc golf community come out and support our mission while enjoying a fun day on the course. We will have different division levels available for players, along with the option to purchase mulligan throws during the event.

Come out, throw some plastic, and help make a difference in our community. We hope to see you all there!
