We’re excited to share that we have already planted 155 grape vines on the property, and many of them are already beginning to bud. Over the next few weeks, we will expand to more than 300 vines as we continue developing the Blue Mountain Mist Vineyard.

Our first plantings include Chambourcin and Norton grapes — two bold red wine varietals known for their rich color, depth, and character.

Long-term, we hope to grow the vineyard into 3–5 acres of vines woven into the rolling hills and peaceful mountain views that make Blue Mountain Mist so special.

We look forward to sharing this journey with our guests as the vineyard continues to grow in the years ahead.

As the granddaughter of our owners, Alessandra has always been part of the Blue Mountain Mist family. This past spring, she completed her culinary work study with us, giving many of our guests the opportunity to experience the talent, creativity, and heart she brings to the kitchen. From helping prepare our breakfasts and evening dinners to creating desserts and special touches for guests, she has been a meaningful part of the experience here at Blue Mountain Mist. It has been such a joy watching her grow her passion for culinary arts while continuing the family tradition of hospitality and caring for others.

🍇 A New Chapter Is Taking Root at Blue Mountain Mist 🍇

This week, we began planting 300 grape vines here at Blue Mountain Mist Country Inn & Spa⁠, the beginning of a dream that has been growing in our hearts for a long time.

What started as a small family inn in the Smoky Mountains continues to grow into something even more special.

These vines represent more than just a vineyard… they represent legacy, faith, hard work, and a vision for the future.

Over the next few years, these rows will slowly transform into a beautiful vineyard overlooking the Smokies, creating new experiences for our guests, from peaceful walks among the vines to future wine tastings, weddings, and romantic mountain getaways.
There’s something meaningful about planting something today that you may not fully enjoy tomorrow. It’s a reminder that the best things in life take time, patience, and care.
We’re incredibly thankful for everyone who has supported our journey and helped make moments like this possible. The future of Blue Mountain Mist is growing one vine at a time. 🍷
