Permissible times for discharging fireworks is as follows:
1. July 3rd from the hours of 9:00 am until 12:00 am (midnight).
2. July 4th from the hours of 9:00 am until 12:00 am (midnight).
It is the responsibility of every resident who participates in the discharge of fireworks to ensure that they are in compliance with the law. Please clean up after discharging. 🚨 Traffic Alert 🚨

A small electrical fire occurred near the intersection of 5th Street and B Street. The fire has been extinguished.

***Railroad Crossing Work Notice***

Union Pacific Railroad will be replacing the crossing panels at each intersection in town as part of their routine track‑area maintenance program.

Work will begin with the 1st Street and Dogwood Trail crossings starting Friday, June 12, and will continue through Sunday, June 14. Potential future changes to this schedule will be communicated to the public.

This work includes removal of existing crossing panels and asphalt, recompacting the subgrade, installing new panels, and completing asphalt paving.

Please plan ahead and be aware of impacts to normal travel patterns during this time.

*Max. speed 35 mph.
*Slow-moving vehicle sign.
