Let's give it a try...

My goal with glass is to constantly learn new techniques and try new things. It's exciting, challenging, frustrating and rewarding. Because I always try new things, I haven't yet discovered my "artistic voice." While one could see a piece of art and know exactly which artist created it by style, technique, subject matter, etc., the same can't be said for me. This may be a good thing or a bad thing, but it's definitely my thing. My latest undertaking is to learn to pull glass cane to make murrini (small glass dots with concentric circles contained within). I have a very, VERY long way to go but I'm certainly enjoying the journey! While I can't claim to have made all the murrini in this piece, I made a lot of it. And there will be lots more to come!
