(360) 683 - 6595 I was fascinated with the Olympic Peninsula years before I saw it.
Growing up as I did in California’s southland, my father held me spellbound with stories of this far off land. He loved to tell about his exploits in the Olympics, land of his birth. Many years later fascination turned to an insatiable appetite for discovery when, as a young man, I began a life on this fabled Peninsula. At nine photography got my attention and at seventeen became a full-blown pass

Hey folks, Lake Crescent Lodge will once again be lit up on May 7th! It will be wonderful to enjoy the beauty, the quiet, and breathtaking walks to many awesome sites.
"I found my happy place the minute I saw you!"
Sherrilyn Kenyon
Nestled against the foothills of the Olympic Mountains,
a quiet valley rests serenely under a blanket of freshly
fallen snow. Here, life is lived more slowly. In spring,
frogs fill the night air with their music. Black tailed deer
and Roosevelt elk freely browse. Barn swallows, red tailed
hawks and bald eagles circle and swoop over the open fields.
But for now, life is suspended and beauty rests.
Wishing you a Christmas that is Bright, Beautiful and filled with hope.
Lake Crescent is never more beautiful than in the fall. The water is the calmest ever at this wonderous time of year. The Lodge remains open with many activities through December 31st. Road construction has been completed and it's a delightful drive to visit this Olympic Peninsula treasure.

Sooooo delighted to share these images by photographer Ross Hamilton that were chosen for the new Olympic Medical Walk-in Clinic, Port Angeles, WA. The large one hanging in the facility was done on aluminum panels and the overall dimension is about 4 feet by 8 feet. The three smaller images are canvas prints.

After Ross and Brian’s presentation at the Rainforest Art Center we all had dinner at Puffin on 101! The restaurant is located right outside of Forks (intersection of Hwy 110 and Hwy 101 where The Smokehouse used to be). Really varied menus with very interesting offerings...it was hard to decide between many awesome choices. We were all delighted with our food. The tables are covered in pennies. It is always special to visit Forks. Thank you Lissy and Aubrey for your generous hospitality and a wonderful time! We

Oh my goodness! It was a capacity crowd last night at North Olympic Library to listen and learn from photographer Ross Hamilton! Brian Schroeder, a friend of Ross's, also spoke about digital photography. According to Emily Sly, NOL Manager, many had to be turned away. They are going to try and schedule a second event for those who couldn't make it through the doors! Several well-known photographers were also in attendance ~ If you look closely you will see Ernst (behind his camera), Randy Tomaras (he snapped this photo for me) Patricia Tayton, and Valerie Henschel. It was a great night and thank you to all who attended and so love this place we call HOME!!! - Sandy Frankfurth
