Many of my clients know this at this point but I feel the need to give a life update.
About 4 months ago my dad was feeling sick and stayed at my place for a couple days. His symptoms progressively got worse so I took him to the Jefferson ER where they did a CT scan and found a football size mass in his colon and bladder. They sent him to Tacoma for emergency surgery. He ended up with two ostomy bags and they removed his bladder, part of his colon, his appendix and the mass which ended up being colon cancer. The recovery from surgery even was a tough road and then a major life shift.
He has chosen not to seek treatment.
If anyone knows my dad they know he is a wild nomad and very type b. I’m handling his financial, property, caregiver, and nursing details. It is exhausting and I’ve learned a lot about how backwards the system is to help seniors.
I am now taking care of him full time with my boyfriend in my home while operating the salon full time and we are still in the process of finding the right care for him.
If you’ve ever been in this position you know how it strains you. If I am extra slow to responding to any calls or texts it is because I have a lot on my plate right now.
I appreciate all the patience and understanding as I navigate this scary life situation.
With all that said, I love my job so thank you for still supporting me and my small business ❤️

I wanted to thank you for your trust and loyalty in this past (and first!) year of my salon. I have seriously loved growing and learning every day in my own space.
I want to continue to provide the highest quality experience for each of you. To keep up with rising costs, I will be implementing a small price increase effective April 15th.
Essentially haircuts of all kinds will be increasing by $5. Color services $10-$15 increase.
I understand price increases are never fun, but this will continue to help me not double book and give my sole attention in your appointment, use top notch clean products and keep my education current in this industry.

Thank you so much to everyone who messaged me, the lady who I caught on video came into my shop this morning, returned the product and apologized. We all make mistakes, and I have deleted the post because of this. I appreciate everyone’s willingness to help!

Big news…
I am opening a small one chair salon suite in Sequim called Gloss Hair Studio!
Opening day is tomorrow February 16th.
Address: 609 W Washington St 14. It is tucked in the corner of the JcPenney parking lot right next to Full Moon Candle.

I have loved my job at Bliss and will miss working with everyone but it is time for a change!

I will still be able to answer phone calls but it will be during business hours Wednesday through Saturday 10 am to 6 pm. Also if you prefer to text because a lot of the time I get stuck in phone tag with a client during a busy day, I prefer that as well ☺️
