Essence is personal. It’s always been about the people. From our farmers, to our staff, to our amazing customers, we aren’t Essence without You.

It’s impossible not to get sentimental as Jacki wraps up her work at Essence before pausing to do her most important work, bringing her baby girl Earthside.

I will always remember the minute I met Jacki and how instantly she felt like a long-lost friend. Jacki has been my right hand for the past year. She takes the initiative, and takes my wild ideas and runs alongside me. She’s my trainer, my notice-and-doer, my honorary daughter 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ my kiddo’s bestie. The love she has for Essence is palpable. She’s far more than an excellent barista, she is truly the keeper of the culture. She’s my favorite workout buddy, my dearest friend, and I cannot imagine a life or coffee shop without her.

I know how special she is to you, so while you may not see her as much as you’re used to, let’s send her all the love and support as she begins this new journey!
