I thought I’d be sharing a finished piece today.
Instead, I’m sharing something vulnerable.

Somewhere between letting go of perfectionism
and letting go of the fear of failing, being misunderstood, or not being seen at all…

I’m realizing they’ve been tied together for a long time.
One feeds the other. Both keep me hesitating. And both needed to be painted to be released.

So here they are — side by side.
Still forming. Still honest.

My body seems to be releasing too. No studio time today. Sometimes when you let go of what you’ve held onto for survival, you have to rest while it works its way out.

Today I heal both.

And that feels just as important as finishing.

Can’t wait to paint these tomorrow, it’s going to be a hoot! ❤️

A week ago, we filled 2 incredible local venues to the brim. We laughed, we played with paint, and we made new friends. It’s this beautiful community that makes the 4 hour drive SO freaking worth it.
