Take a look at this vertical grain cedar!
This is going to make beautiful trim and paneling for this young family's new home. We can't wait to see the pictures of it finished.

Here is a good example of what we mean by having your logs "decked and bunked" for us. Essentially, the milling logs are stacked onto smaller pole logs which allows us to role them to the mill's loading arms. This is also good practice if your logs will be sitting a while before being processed - you don't want them in direct contact with the ground.

Could not have asked for a cleaner, smoother split. Look at that!

The figure on this walnut is outstanding and was worth milling up even the smaller sections.

We began our mobile operation with the goal of helping those in our local communities to get the best value from small-scale harvested/salvaged timber resources from their own land. Sometimes that means milling a few storm-fallen logs in a driveway. Sometimes it is getting the honor to spend a week milling premium grade Douglas-fir on a generational family farm and timber lot. This should provide the family with enough lumber for a few years, but we hope to be back as often as possible, they were a pleasure to work with.

This Douglas-fir has me thinking about grilled salmon. Anyone else?
