🐾 June Update on some of our Rescue Dogs! 🐾

Right now, we have Yang, Potato, Auggie, Java, and Tater Tot at the boarding farm, and boarding costs $5 per dog, per day. While that may not sound like much, it adds up quickly and becomes a significant expense for our rescue.

We're also in need of new toys for some of our farm friends! Dogs like Tater Tot, Potato, Auggie, and Java love to play, and enrichment is so important for their mental health and happiness. Their current toys are getting pretty worn out, and we'd love to replace them with some new ones. They have been loving these, they are squeaky and last a long time.

Hi, I'm Olaf and I’ve been in the rescue at least two years! 🥲 We don’t understand why because I’m a super sweet boy once I warm up to my people!
He was found behind a restaurant as a kitten-some of his litter mates had eye infections, while his eye infection is cleared now it did cause his third eye lid to attach to one of his eyes (this wont cause any long-term issues it just makes one of his eyes look a little different)! Once this sweet boy gets to know you, he loves to be loved on. He loves other cats, dogs, and is litter box trained.

Let’s get this sweet boy a home! 🤞🏡

What would help us get more animals adopted? We would love ideas! Would more personality info help? More housetrained pets? Other training? DNA tests to know breed? More chances to meet them?
This beautiful girl is Yang. She’s been with us since she was four weeks old and is the last of her litter still looking for a home. She will be two years old this fall.

These two sweet CARE girls are looking for forever homes!

🍒 Cherry lost her owner and is ready to find love again (She is a huge fan of soft blankets and cuddling with you under them!).

🩷 India is a gentle, quiet companion who loves cozy naps and being close to her people.

Cherry is doing much better with her foot injury! She went back to the vet this afternoon for a laser treatment and she’s now using her leg. She’s being happy and playful at her foster home so she will be up for adoption soon!
She’s wearing glasses in the photo because lasers can harm vision so both people and pets wear the glasses during treatments.
We are still needing to fundraise to pay her vet bills. We’ve raised $50 and her total vet bills are around $750. So please continue to share and donate!

Food needed!! Our dogs have less than a week of food left. Who can donate some bags to help us feed them? You can donate monetarily at crossroadsanimalrescue.org/donate or you can send food to CARE, 8409 W Oak Hwy Seneca SC 29678. We can use a variety of brands but generally feed Purina Dog Chow or Purina Proplan.
We also can use cat litter, Purina Proplan or Cat Chow adult food but those are less urgent currently.

Cherry needs your help! She was adopted from us as a puppy but her home didn’t work out as she wasn’t good with visiting kids. So she was returned and re adopted quickly. She had a loving home but then animal control found her roaming the streets injured and let us know that her owner had passed away so she had no one to help her. 😢
We went to get her immediately and found she has a severe foot injury with bone infection of her toes. We hope to prevent having to amputate toes as she’s been through so much already.
Cherry needs a foster family who can bring her to Crossroads Animal Hospital three times weekly for two or three weeks for a laser treatment (15 minute process) as well as funds to pay for her X-rays, medications, and laser treatment. We also updated all her vaccines and heartworm tested her since we don’t know what vet she had been going to or when that was done. Our goal is to raise $1000 plus find her a foster.
Cherry is a 25 lbs Dachshund mix.
