Twenty nine years ago today Swamp Fox F-16s departed for a mission from a base in Saudi Arabia to Iraq in the first wave of strikes against Saddam Hussein's Iraqi forces during Operation DESERT STORM. The pilots flew into a dangerous nighttime mission, each hitting their targets and returning safely. These Swamp Foxes took their place in the history books. Today, Airmen from the SCANG are deployed throughout the world in ongoing missions building on the legacy of Swamp Fox.
