Horse Rescue and Adoption
We are taking a break right now. Rescuing is physically, emotionally, and financially draining. When we have new rescues, we will add them to our page. Thanks for understanding.

Our tiny little rescue is about to get bigger! When acreage down the street went up for sale, we couldn’t pass it up!

Many of you have questions about the adoption agreement. Here is a link to the document. It outlines the expectations for potential adopters. This is a fairly standard agreement that I borrowed from another equine rescue.

Update: Belle made it to her forever home today 🎉🎉🎉
Update 3/23: Belle’s adoption fell through. Not her fault. She got sick and I don’t adopt out sick animals so I held her until she was 100% better and I can’t reach the person that was going to adopt her. If anyone is willing to take a chance on this girl, please message me. Please read entire post.
I can’t put anything related to fees on this post or it will be taken down. You must use messenger. Located in Semmes, AL.
Currently ready for adoption: Belle
Belle is a mare, estimated to be around 10 years old. She is grade, 15hh, and built like a tank. She was rescued at the end of November. She is very sweet, but she does not trust easily. She can be caught with food. She came to me with seedy toe and is requiring front shoes until her front hooves are healed. Her back hooves look great. I’ve seen her ridden, but I haven’t ridden her because of her feet. She will most definitely be a project and require someone with experience. I will need vet and farrier references. This girl deserves a forever home. I am able to keep her adoption fees lower because of a fundraiser I did to help cover her vet and farrier care. She is up to date and coggins and vaccines.
All adoptions come with an agreement not to sell the horse. However, you can bring the horse back and receive a full refund of your fee for any reason at any time. That’s a 100% money back guarantee for life. This ensures the horse will not end up at auction or in the wrong hands again.

Y’all, I am so proud of Belle’s progress! She is learning to trust and has gotten so much easier to catch. She’s standing still with her head relaxed while I groom her. My 11 year old can play with her now. All her cuts and scrapes are healed and her hooves are growing in so much better. She came to me with seedy toe and my farrier has blood sweat and tears in these feet! With more work and love she is going to be fabulous. Just look at her build! I have not ridden her because of the condition of her feet, but I have seen her ridden and she is broke to ride. Needs someone with experience. My child rides competitively and I wouldn’t put her on this horse. She’s 10 years old.
She will be ready for adoption soon. There are fees associated with adoption that cover to costs associated with the rescue, vet, and farrier care.

Jagger and Belle are highly offended because I fed the chickens first. Jagger is a gelded yearling that will be ready for adoption next month. He’s on the left. He is the sweetest boy ever! He’d make a perfect Christmas present. My 11 year old has been making tic tocs with him all day.

What’s worse than medicated shampoo first thing in the morning? Letting it soak in with the new barn kitten on your back. He just hopped right on. Y’all, this is the sweetest baby on the planet!!!!

Adopted
Jagger is a gelded yearling. I’m not sure of an extact birth date, but I’d guess he’s near 18 months old. Halter broke and very very gentle. He will follow you anywhere. He has some rain rot and he’s a little underweight, but we can fix that. He’s going to be a big guy! He’s already almost 15 hands and bigger than both of my mares. I’ll have to measure soon. Once he’s guaranteed healthy, he will be ready for adoption.
