VFW Post 5955 would like to congratulate Kayleigh Klein, of Princeton High School, the first winner of the annual Kenneth Ray Parker Scholarship.

This month we started our annual rifle raffle. This year we have a smith & wesson AR-15. We will be at Springhill Outfitters the 3rd Saturday every month from now through September. A special thank you to 6 SHOOTERS GUN SHOWS, they allowed us to setup a table at the Moose Lodge for their show on the 26th and 27th this month. See their upcoming show at https://6shows.com.

Today we would like to announce that the “Kenneth Ray ‘Ken’ Parker Scholarship" is available to all Johnston County Seniors that are dependents of veterans. For requirements and timelines please see you your guidance counselor or contact us at [email protected]. Thank You and Good Luck.

This month we finished updating our bathroom. A special thank you to Denis Creech and Pete Parish.

Today we visited 2 Nursing homes in the Smithfield-Selma area. Visited 20+ veterans wishing them a Happy Veterans day and letting them know they are not forgotten.

Terry Fields won the 2021 Post rifle Raffle. The post raised $3985. 36
