Colby Allen joined Janicki straight out of high school as a 5-axis mill operator. Over the years, he moved through supervision, scheduling and production management roles, earned his associate and bachelor's degrees, and operated nearly every mill Janicki has built.

Today he is a Construction Project Manager at Janicki's Hamilton campus, overseeing everything from renovations to machine installations to new buildings.

"Even if you have been here 20-plus years, you are always seeing new things and finding new ways to get them done," Colby said.

It was good to host Washington State Senator Wagoner at our newest facility in Hamilton this week and walk him through the progress we've made on site.

Janicki has called Skagit County home since 1993, and today we employ more than 1,800 people across the area.

We appreciate Senator Wagoner taking the time to see the work firsthand and to stay connected as we keep growing here in the community where we got our start.

Soccer fans have a reason to stop in Skagit County.

Janicki built large block-letter signs spelling out six local towns: Concrete, Sedro-Woolley, Anacortes, Mount Vernon, Burlington and La Conner. Each of the themes were designed by organizations within each city.

It took about 20 employees and roughly 300 hours: cutting 60-inch letters from vacuum-infused composite panels, then sanding and sealing each one by hand. ⚽

Turn design specs into precision parts. 🛩️ Janicki is hiring an NC Programmer at our Sedro-Woolley, Bellingham, and Hamilton facilities along with a number of remote positions.

You'll plan machining sequences and design fixtures for 3-5 axis machine tools, determining cutting methods for materials from composites to steel and aluminum.

You'll build tool paths in Unigraphics NX CAD/CAM, verify them in Vericut, and partner with process engineers to develop shop documentation to ISO 9000 standards. An engineering or engineering technology degree and NX experience are preferred.

As Janicki prepares to expand into Montana, we welcomed representatives from the City of Great Falls, Great Falls Public Schools, Great Falls College MSU, the Great Falls Economic Development Alliance, the Montana Department of Commerce and Cascade County to our Washington facilities yesterday for a tour and discussions with our team.

On Memorial Day weekend, three Janicki employee teams took on the 93-mile Ski to Sea relay race from Mt. Baker to Bellingham Bay. 🎿

This year the "Made by Janicki" team competed on equipment that we designed and manufactured in house.
