Photo Greeting Cards
Photo Art A good photograph brings about a communion between the viewer and the viewed, between the seer and the seen. This is it.
This is the moment, this is beauty, this is truth. Photographic art is an invitation to behold the myriad forms of beauty in this world, sometimes taken for granted or perhaps not even noticed at all. The best photographs remind us of the gift that is Creation.

Up on the North Coast of Santa Cruz County, there lie some raw, mostly untouched beaches. One of them has some wetlands where Laguna Creek spreads out on the lowlands before entering the ocean. Here are some photos taken after a big storm the day before .

Just returned from a Yosemite-in-Winter trip with oldest daughter Muftiah and her wonderful family. The weather cooperated magnificently, having snowed the day before. Fresh snow on an already stunning landscape is definitely a photographer's paradise!

This is ON SALE now, as of Jan. 1, 2016. See it at www.naturespeaksphotography.com. I'm excited about this calendar because even though we did not get time to travel much this year, I still managed to find some great shots. Partly it has to do with having an open mind to beauty, because then you find it everywhere. It also helps that we live in a very photogenic part of the world! Here's the cover and a few samples of the monthly pages. You're invited to message me directly or visit my Etsy page to find out more details.

The first 5 of these photos were taken this September on a backpacking trip out of
Horseshoe Meadows in the East Sierra. Two days of acclimating was necessary because the trail started at 10,000 feet and went up from there into the Cottonwood Lakes region. The clouds with the changing light made this trip a photographer's dream.
