All ready for the Open Studio Tour that starts today at 10 am and goes until 5 pm. It continues through the weekend!

“Earth’s Treasures” 16”H x 17”W x 8”D This sculpture was quite the journey to create. It all started with the Cottonwood base. The title says it all. Everything that is a part of it came from the earth. We are so blessed to have all that we have available to us.

Finished my dinosaur. It is 8.5”H x 36”Long x 12” D. We call him Dexter the Dinosaur!

Finished my elephant! We named him Elmer! He is so darn cute.

This is normally the very last thing I do with my gourds that have a geode insert. On this one, I decided I needed to do this prior to weaving the top as I need to get inside the gourd to screw it down. I now need to wait about 3 days to be sure the glue is cured. On to something else.

Artist Demonstration! I will be demonstrating weaving on my current gourd sculpture at First Friday, April 3, at Rowe Fine Art Gallery. I will be there all day and will talk to our clients about the process. First Friday events start at 4 pm and goes until 7 pm.

Come to Creative Gateways in Tlaquepaque to see my Gourd art! The colors work so well with the other artwork. The middle one is “Embracing Beauty” with “Transformation” on the right and “Peaceful Serenity” on the left! They look so good!

Another set of kits ready to assemble. Have two ready (with a few add ins) and 6 more to do. Then I am on to the next set of kits. Only 4 of them. Working very carefully so that they will pack well! I hope to have all done tomorrow. God willing and my body agrees.
