Seeing this shoot featured in Rocky Mountain Bride was a dream come true! Flipping through the physical pages of the magazine and seeing my stationery designs alongside all the other talented vendors felt so surreal and magical! There’s something so special about New Mexico ❤️

Wedding stationary options don’t have to end with just paper. Adding textural elements like this fringed fabric invitation backing, leather ties, and brass metal detailing are simple additions that take minimalistic design to another level! Happy Tuesday friends old and new! Allow me to introduce myself- - I’m Raquel, the face behind RK Creative Design (based in Phoenix, AZ), and here are 5 fun facts about me!

1️⃣ Like everyone else, 2020 was a wild ride to say the least. After unexpectedly losing my job due to Covid 19 I was able to focus my energy on a passion I simply didn’t always have time for in the past. Graphic design! Hence RK Creative was born❤️
2️⃣My favorite hobby is hiking and backpacking with my husband and best doggo in the whole world Mochi! I love being outside, it’s great for inspiration as well.
3️⃣At home you’d most likely find me in the kitchen cooking, on the couch drinking wine and binging True Crime, out back supervising Mochi in the pool 😂 or around the dining room table playing games with friends!
4️⃣ I currently have over 30 plants and always tease I NEED more! My friends think I have a green thumb 🌱 but “pro” tip 😉 I really just wait around until my plants start to wilt and look sad and then I immediately water them and it seems to be working all these years later! Sometimes less is more, that can be true in a lot of areas in life.
5️⃣ I’ve always loved fashion! I was voted best dressed in high school, and I got my BA in Fashion Marketing. My favorite movie is Funny Face with Audrey Hepburn (if you too love fashion and haven’t seen this, it is a must!) Styling and design come in many forms and I’ve always gravitated in some way to the arts!
