IN THE PRESS: Architectural Digest — What started as an April Fools' joke has become a real collection.
Inspired by the iconic shapes of pasta, Al Dente transforms familiar forms into handcrafted stone mosaics—proof that great design can emerge from the most unexpected places.
We're honored to see the collection featured by Architectural Digest and grateful for the enthusiasm that helped bring this playful idea to life.
The project is also a reminder of what's possible through Artistic Tile's Tailored To program. From pasta-inspired mosaics to completely custom concepts, virtually anything can be brought to life through our bespoke tile design.

Soft pink has become a quietly powerful tool in interior design—used less as an accent and more as a refined neutral. Designers rely on it to soften architecture, balance harder materials, and shift the way light moves through a space.
Depending on context, it can feel minimal or expressive, but it consistently adds a soft luminosity that traditional neutrals don’t achieve.
Used well, pink doesn’t define a space—it refines it. Discover Artistic Tile's pink tile and stone: https://www.artistictile.com/collections/all-pink-colors

At Kidilum, Chef Raveendran brings the spirit of Kerala to New York—drawing on the tea shops and spice-filled kitchens of his home state, reimagined through the lens of fine dining.
The interiors echo that same narrative. Designed with materials from Artistic Tile, the space channels the warmth, texture, and richness of Southern India—where stone becomes a backdrop to the aroma of spices and the ritual of tea. Layers of stone, pattern, and surface bring to life the atmosphere of Kerala’s everyday eateries, elevated through a contemporary New York sensibility.
“Kidilum”—a Malayali expression meaning “beyond awesome”—feels exactly that: a cultural translation of memory, craft, and place, where food and space tell the same story.

Recently, Artistic Tile brought a group of designers and architects to Carrara for an up-close look at marble at its source. From the marble-crowned Apuan Alps to artisan workshops, and a candlelit piano performance inside the Franchi Umberto Marmi Quarry, guests explored the geology, craftsmanship, and culture behind Italian stone—touring the Borghini, Fabbricotti, and Macchia Vecchia quarries and tracing the vein up the mountain from one site to the next.
More than anything, it was the shared experience that stood out. We are grateful to everyone who joined us. Until next time!

Introducting Arabescato D’Oro, a beautiful Greek marble in its own right, but when textured with a Rock Finish, deeper characteristics are revealed that make this stone extraordinary. Chalky-white with broad, warm grey veins, the rugged finish on this stone opens deeper layers and introduces directionality that runs counter to the natural veining, enhancing the stone’s inherent sense of movement and creating a layered, raw depth that is both visible and invitingly tactile. Stocked in a 12” x 24” x 5/8” tile.

Inspired by the gentle movement of water, Ondulare is a dimensional natural stone tile that captures the rhythm of rolling waves. Each tile is sculpted with sweeping parallel grooves for added texture and subtle shadow, while its concave and convex undulations create a soft, flowing profile.
Available in Calacatta Gold Marble, Cloud Limestone, and Moca Cream Limestone.
