Good evening, all!

Coming at you with this week's edition: "RSU: Ray's Sirens Update!"

So, have you heard of "The Foundation Effect" class at 6:00pm on Monday nights? It's taught by Radha Romero , the Lady in Blue, and goes over the basics in belly dance technique that a more complex choreography can be designed from. Then, at 7:00pm, that very complex choreography is examined further for the second class that Radha teaches! So, have you heard of these classes? No? Well, there's one way to change that for sure...check out the classes!

Another class you can check out is TerriAnne Gutierrez's classic bellydance class that happens on Wednesday nights! In that class, you would be immersing yourself in bellydance instruction, that has literal decades of experience and scholarship in Middle East culture, history, music, dance and art behind it. The successive performances of her resident troupes, Dancers of Janan and Joweh R.A.W. are testament to TerriAnne's instruction. And YOU can be part of it!!

And a very special place to see performances of bellydance is Sirens Fest, which will be on July 24-26 this year!

But Sirens Studio isn't just about shows and performances that people can come to...

You see, in addition to teaching dance at Sirens, the main theater and dance studio that comprise Sirens Studio can also be RENTED by the public! It can accommodate themed events as well!
I personally have seen the venues rented for wedding receptions, martial arts classes, yoga instruction, and SO MUCH MORE! And now, there are plenty of slots throughout the week for our beloved community to utilize this resource!

Sun-All day /Mon-5:15-6:15pm /Tues-5:30pm and onward/
Wed-5:15-6:15pm /Thurs-7:30pm and onward /Fri-All day/Sat-After 1:00pm.

Need a place to rehearse, or run a workshop or host a reception?
Think about giving Sirens a try!

I can personally attest to how it's such a big help when you're a performer putting material together.
(NOTE: As a matter of fact, yours truly will be using the theater this coming Sunday for a videoshoot. I can't tell you what it is yet, but soon, sometime in the near future. )

For further details, or if you ever have questions about what else is going on at Sirens at any given time, always feel free to go to www.sirensstudio.org

And as always, THANK YOU to you, our community, for without you, Sirens wouldn't be what it is today!

"I really saw clearly, and for the first time, why a mother is really important. Not just because she feeds and also loves and cuddles and even mollycoddles a child, but because in an interesting and maybe an eerie and unworldly way, she stands in the gap. She stands between the unknown and the known."

Hello everybody!

And we're back with "RSU: Ray's Sirens Update!"

One great thing about Sirens is the classes and workshops that happen on a regular basis every week there.

Monday nights are special, mainly because, Radha Romero the Lady in Blue, teaches her "The Foundation Effect" class at 6:00pm, This class examines the basics in belly dance technique that a choreography can then be created from. Following that, at 7:00pm, such choreography is examined more closely, in the SECOND class that Radha teaches! It's such a pleasure to see how these classes have gained such a following, that a new troupe under Radha's direction has been formed FROM these classes, and they have already performed at Sirens! Do yourselves a favor and check out the classes for yourselves!

Wednesday nights are also special, because that happens to be the night that TerriAnne Gutierrez teaches her weekly classic belly dance class. With all the firsthand experience she has in Middle East history, music, dance and culture, she continues to create new presentations that her premium troupes, Joweh R.A.W. and the Dancers of Janan bring to the community through events like Beaucoup de Bellies, or Sirens Fest or even elsewhere. And they are ALWAYS a success! That says a lot for the sure instruction of TerriAnne. You know you are always in good hands, whether as an audience member...or as a performer! Why not find out firsthand?

Another thing to experience firsthand is Sirens Fest, coming up in July! We have already workshop and performance sign-ups, and just this week voted on a new T-shirt design! So much excitement!
