Spring has arrived, and with it, our annual release of the Monarch Challenge Rosé 🦋
This release is a really special one for our team. Each year we dedicate our Rosé bottling to this Challenge, an effort we began in 2016 to bring awareness to farming practices. This Challenge is named after the beautiful Monarch butterfly whose population has declined to near extinction with the introduction of harmful chemicals in farming, and we hope that by bringing awareness, we as a community can impact change to a cleaner, healthier planet for all 🌍 🐝 🦋
The 2025 vintage hails from a block of old-vine Grenache and is vibrant, energetic and lively ⚡️This Rosé is now available to collect and while available, you can also grab Monarch-loving milkweed seeds to plant in your own backyard.
Thanks to your support of this release, we donate to the incredible & . We invite you to visit the Monarch Challenge website through link in bio to learn more about the Challenge and these organizations.
A deep thank you for your support, as we welcome Spring’s celebrations 🌍🦋🐝

The legend of the name | At the entrance to the vineyard stands a sacred rock, honored for centuries by the native people of this land. The story tells of a coastal maiden whose spirit endures in this rock, and to this day we honor her presence with each visit to this site. Rising high above the Pacific Ocean and just miles from it, the vineyard takes its name from this enduring presence and the coastal cliffs that define it.
This rock is an entrance to the beautiful land that is our Pacific Rock vineyard - a land full of life… vines, flor and fauna. 📸

Our team is honored to share that the inaugural release of our newest single vineyard, our Pacific Rock Pinot Noir, was recognized with an perfect 100pt accolade.
We began our journey on the magical Sonoma Coast nearly two decades ago in search of what we consider California Grand Cru sites. That search led us to Bodega and Sea Field, and the backbone of our Royal St. Robert cuvée. Then in 2024, our path led us here, to the stewardship of Pacific Rock. In the remote corner of Fort Ross-Seaview, this site everything we love about the westerly Sonoma Coast… rugged, wild, and alive with the energy of the sea. We have been incredibly grateful to farm this site, and with its inaugural release, share its story with you through this bottling. Our journey here has just begun.
Thank you .suckling & team for the incredible recognition.

Fragrant sour grass, field marigold, and pink Herb Robert are all showing off this time of year in our vineyard, alongside clover, the first soft grasses and beautiful wild iris in the surrounding Redwood forest. This is quite the magical time of year on the Sonoma Coast ✨

Winter on the Sonoma Coast ☀️ The vines and grasses have soaked up the season’s early rainfall, turning everything a vibrant green under the low winter sun. Our Freestone Occidental site is home to several bird and owl boxes, just one example of our permaculture farming practices. This bird box will attract blue birds, which will help keep our vines healthy by keeping the blue green sharpshooters in check. This approach to farming allows our vineyard to act as a system that sustains itself 🐦 🦉 🌱 🌍

Today marks an important moment in our story, as we announce the inaugural release of RAEN’s newest single vineyard bottling. We are grateful to share that our Pacific Rock Pinot Noir is now available to our members.
A site we consider a true California Grand Cru, Pacific Rock represents more than a decade of farming and exploration along the far Sonoma Coast. This vineyard will now sit alongside our other single-vineyard expressions, each a reflection of the true Sonoma Coast, its unique geologies, microflora and microclimates, all woven into our story.
It has been an honor to begin our journey as stewards of this extraordinary site, and today, it is an honor to share this wine with you.
