Another year of pony school has come and gone. I feel so privileged
to teach on this little farm. I wish my graduating students all the best, and I look forward to welcoming new students for the upcoming school year!

Yesterday we enjoyed the lettuce, herbs, and flowers that children planted this year. This tender lettuce was amazing.
We made our own salad dressing using olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and Italian herbs. Growing vegetables in the garden allows children to connect their food with the earth. They realize that food doesn't just come from supermarkets.
Participating in farm-to-table also encourages healthier eating habits.
When children are involved with growing their own vegetables, they are more likely to eat them and develop healthy, lifelong eating habits.
