"Pride is nothing without q***r black lives. As a singular LGBTQIA community, we all hurt when one of us is hurting. And, "In the end we will remember not the words of our enemies but the silence of our friends." - Martin Luther King Jr.
Let us not be silent but rather unleash a rainbow wave of love and acceptance on our BIPOC siblings like the world has never seen. Let's stand together to step aside from the broken system, to no longer buy into an "us vs. them" way of being, and to walk into a new way of life that includes everybody or nobody. Our structure is Love and we love without limit.
Please join us in committing all 2020 PRIDE celebrations and focus on the support and solidarity of our BIPOC community, and by sharing this image and message. Our collective voices of affirmation and our held space for those who are hurting will have a ripple effect of healing and reconnection that will be visible to the world and that will echo in halls of time

LGBTQIA Immediate Call to Action:
Monday, June 8, 2020 - We are a human race. We are a q***r community. When one of us is hurting, we're all hurting. When one of us is threatened, we're all threatened. Therefore, taking cue from black leaders of the past, we call upon the entirety of the LGBTQIA Community and our Allies to commit to focusing all 2020 PRIDE celebrations on the support of our BIPOC family, to stand in solidarity and hold space for their joy, and to help give back the dignity and sense of worth that has been taken from us.
As part of this call to action, we would also like to highlight that every year Black Pride occurs in August and is set for August 20-23 this year. We encourage everyone to continue to support the BIPOC LGBTQIA community by donating and spreading the word about Pacific Northwest Black Pride!
"In the end we will remember not the words of our enemies but the silence of our friends." - Martin Luther King Jr.
Local artist,Takiyah Ward, owner/operator of TDUB Customs, has created an image for all of us to use in solidarity.
