Ahhh, finally! It’s been a long 3 years of working almost exclusively on my Beast/Prince build, but I was finally able to finish my little side project…and I couldn’t be happier.

To be honest, attending cons for fun had lost a lot of its appeal and was starting to be a little depressing because it’d been so many years since I’d made something new to wear. I felt like a fraud not having produced something in such a long time. (Its a silly thought, I know.) Putting on this costume gave my hobby a breath of fresh air that was desperately needed, and I had a ton of fun. The construction may not be perfect, but it felt perfect to wear.

Theres something so refreshing about getting to be all sparkled up in pink with a flowy, swooshy dress. ✨💕

I could not have finished this in time without helping me in the hotel room yeet together the wig pieces I had built & encouraging me to spend a little time crafting for myself.

This is one of the costumes I’d really like to remake. I had done it in a rush to finish for a deadline & I came to seriously regret that 😂

I have all of the fabric purchased, the bodice is re-patterned, and I’ve re-sculpted the crown and horn pieces. Maybe one day I’ll have enough downtime from my side quests to get it done 🙏✨

I do have to ask…how do you all find the motivation to remake or touch up things that are already mentally in the ‘done pile’? Its such a struggle to make myself feel ok taking apart things I’ve already finished even if I don’t like them 😭😭😭

Kaito and Luchia have one of the most ridiculous shojo romances out there (he’s mermaid face blind, OKAY?!) but their connection is so deep that I’m glad we were able to capture that in our little couple photoshoot over mermaid weekend 💕✨

✨Happy i7 Day of Creation!✨

Ainana is one of the most important stories I’ve ever read, and has inspired a lot of different types of works I’ve made….from cosplay to fanfic to dance choreography its been a major source of creative energy in my life for about 8 years now. I wouldn’t be as inspired to create or grow without it, so I guess today’s post is a little thank you letter to both the series and all of the other i7 creators who also put that magical ainana energy out into the world.

I’m hoping to make another smaller and more personal cosplay from the series this year as my “me time” project to help me heal mentally and physically from some things that happened during my last big build, so I hope you can all look forward to seeing that as well. (any guesses for what itll be? 👀 )

Also….dance covers + original choreo are big priorities of mine for 2024. Are there any i7 songs you’d like to see broken down for learning, or any i7 songs that dont have choreo yet that you’d want to see some made for? Please let me know! Its helpful for goal setting ✨
