We are excited to announce that we have partnered with the Technical Rescue Survey and Water Rescue Survey! A free non-profit organization committed to helping develop our rescuer community. The information they provide and incident narratives on real events provides valuable data that helps us form and develop content for our training classes. If you haven't already, head on over and give them a like and share. The more input to the database the better the data set. All of it is free and a lot of the incident narratives are worth a read.

Fantastic large animal rescue out of Alpine, CA by the San Diego Humane Society Emergency Response Team!

"Elderly horse rolled or fell, her feet became entangled in her blanket straps and she was in a cast position up against her shelter wall. Horse was rolled and packaged on a large animal slide and dragged approx 60' to a Haist bipod that was staked. Two support lines for the bipod were constructed, both support lines were constructed with 3:1 M/A, a 4:1 system was ran from the bipod to the Becker sling and to a COD at the foot (in the event the front of back of the Becker spreader bar) needed to be leveled out, main line was constructed of a 4:1 from the head of the bipod to a COD at the foot of the bipod back to a tree anchor and then to a vehicle wheel for a COD where a 3:1 system was added. Once the horse was positioned under the bipod and the sling was attached the horse was raised to a standing position".

πŸ”₯ 62 Technical Rescues Submitted! πŸ”₯

Thank you to everyone who took the time to contribute and share real-world data. These submissions matter. They help us better understand where the gaps are, where we need to probe deeper, and how we can collectively raise the bar for the technical rescue community.

This isn’t about criticism it’s about growth, accountability, and getting better together.

Let’s keep the momentum going and make 2026 the year we turn insight into action, lessons into training, and data into safer outcomes for rescuers and those we serve.

Together, we build stronger systems, smarter training, and a better rescue culture.
