Opening Friday, June 12th 5-8pm!

'Be Softer, Be Stranger' featuring over 200 handcrafted porcelain wall sculptures by Madrid-born, Seattle-based artist Carmen Cano

"Fragility as strength, scale as community, guardianship as care, and the tension between protection and permeability.

A wall of porcelain guardians, less arranged
than enlisted, mustering against a fragile present and whatever future waits beyond. Each figure is small, but together they accumulate like a tide.

Faces, symbols, hybrid forms echo into one another until the wall becomes a field of alertness, a steady pulse. Edge to edge, they form a wall of protection that reveals its own permeability.

They remind us that care is not heroic,
but an ongoing, distributed labor, carried by many small, unremarkable acts.

They arrive as emissaries from the future,
not with warnings, but with reminders:
Be softer, be stranger, be kinder, tread carefully, shelter hope.

Each piece is unique, crafted by hand from porcelain"

*a very special thank you to and ✨

Mixed media: I combine hand illustration with digital work and scanned abstract paint textures created through physical mark-making, all brought together through digital composition.

From The Overgrown Arcana, a mixed-media/illustrated tarot project that blends punk aesthetics with intimate, queer-centered symbolism. My approach to tarot explores how ancient archetypes can be reimagined through contemporary illustration while preserving their emotional and spiritual resonance.

Installation begins tonight for The Art of Tarot! Opens tomorrow May 8th 5-8pm during // Online preview is live go get a sneak peek 🦇
