Meet the Seattle woman whose $21,684 towing bill inspired a new film with Rose Byrne - Soundside 08/03/2026

Amanda Ogle is a formerly unhoused Seattle woman who was recently featured in the movie Tow, starring Rose Byrne. In 2017, Amanda was living in her car when it was stolen. She was forced to fight for over a year to get it back from a Seattle towing company.

What a wonderful way to celebrate the summer!🏝️⛱️🌞

Today guests of Elizabeth Gregory Home gathered in the parking lot for a summer picnic that included various games, including a dunk tank!

Pictured here are recently soaked Executive Director Ally Baehr and Pastor Andy Flatt-Kuntze, along with Day Shelter Manager Andy Gallegos in the dunk tank. What a great way to spend a warm sunny day in Seattle!

The Seattle Jazz Quartet will be joined by top Seattle jazz vocal stars for a can’t miss musical experience. Food will be available for purchase from De La Soil, and $1 from every drink sold will be donated to EGH!

It is hot outside! You can help the women we serve by donating items from our hot weather wishlist🌞

Our Day Shelter depends on donated items to meet our guests’ needs. Currently, we especially need hot weather supplies like sunscreen, water bottles, and hats.

Donations may be dropped off at the EGH Day Shelter Sunday thru Friday, 9 am – 4 pm.
