CISC Bilingual Preschool Graduation on Friday, June 12!🎓💛
We celebrated the graduation of our 20 amazing preschoolers! The ceremony was sweet and memorable, from Kung Fu and singing performances to heartfelt reflections from parents on their children’s growth. Our classes’ Education Specialist with the City of Seattle Department of Education and Early Learning also recognized the students’ achievements and the importance of culturally responsive early learning as each child received their certificate.
A highlight was a video capturing their year of learning, field trips, and fun, showing just how much they’ve grown. Thank you to our wonderful parents for your partnership and support throughout the year! Congratulations, graduates—we are so proud of you and wish you a successful kindergarten journey ahead!

We're incredibly grateful to the Asian Bar Association of Washington (ABAW) for another impactful Pro Bono Day at CISC.
The attorneys, law students, interpreters, and volunteers assisted 30 community members with a wide range of legal issues including immigration, trust & estates, family law, personal injury, and landlord-tenant matters.

21 amazing seniors from our Sunshine Garden Senior Center and Family Support Caregiver Program came together to volunteer at Food Lifeline. They packed 1,320 lbs. of rice in just 1.5 hours for families in need. 💛
Our eldest volunteer, at 82, reminded us that giving has no age limit. The energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork were truly inspiring.

CISC is honored to receive the City of Bellevue’s AA&NH/PI Heritage Month Proclamation on May 12. Our Senior Center Director, Boliver Choi, accepted this recognition from Bellevue Mayor Mo Malakoutian and the Councilmembers on behalf of the many families, youth, and older adults we serve every day.
This proclamation affirms that our languages, traditions, and stories belong—and that our community’s contributions matter. It’s also a reminder that true belonging means being able to fully participate, feel respected, and stay connected.
We are grateful to the City of Bellevue for this meaningful recognition and for their partnership in building a more inclusive and connected community, not just during Heritage Month, but year-round.
We look forward to continuing this work together, starting with our upcoming Community Health & Resource Fair on June 24 at the North Bellevue Community Center!

Participants in our Senior Day Program on the Eastside, which serves Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking older adults, held an appreciation event for Lyudmila, who will be leaving CISC after 7 years of service.
Mila has been with the program from day one when it launched in 2019 and is now operating in Bellevue, Kirkland, and Redmond. Flowers, cake, and warm hugs showed how much the community appreciates Mila's heart and passion for creating connections and improving well-being for older adults. Thank you, Mila!!!
