On World Homeless Day, we’re reminded that housing is more than a roof over your head. A stable home provides safety, security and a foundation for building a life.

Affordable housing plays an important role in creating that stability for people and families across our region. At Bellwether Housing, we work every day to create stable communities and connect people with homes near jobs, transit and essential services.

We’re excited to share that Bellwether Housing has been selected as one of the inaugural Redmond Spotlight 20! 🎉

Presented by OneRedmond, the Spotlight 20 recognizes 20 businesses, nonprofits and community organizations making a meaningful impact in Redmond. Bellwether was recognized in the Building Redmond category for our community-centered work on Prisma in Overlake.

Through extensive engagement with residents and community organizations, Prisma’s design was shaped by the people and communities it will serve, including gathering spaces, community rooms, culturally responsive features and space for nonprofit services.

We’re proud to be part of Redmond’s growing community and grateful to OneRedmond for recognizing our work to create affordable homes and stronger communities. 🏠💙

That's why Bellwether works to create affordable homes in neighborhoods with access to transportation and community amenities.

When affordable homes are located near public transportation, schools, parks, jobs, community services and other neighborhood amenities, residents can spend less time and money getting where they need to go and more time living their lives.

A new school year brings new routines, new opportunities and a fresh start. For families, having a safe and stable home can make all the difference.

Construction is almost underway at Brightwood! 🚧

On September 4, Bellwether Housing closed on 53 affordable homes in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood, including 32 family-sized two- and three-bedroom apartments. Located next to the North Seattle Boys & Girls Club, with services provided by FamilyWorks, Brightwood will connect residents with housing, opportunity, and supportive community resources.

We'll welcome our first residents in early 2028.

A huge thank you to our partners, including Encore Architects, Absher Construction Co., and FamilyWorks, for helping make this exciting new community possible. We can't wait to share construction updates as Brightwood takes shape!
