๐ This season, we celebrate familia: the one we grew up with, the one weโve created, and the family that found us exactly when we needed it.
๐ For LGBTQ+ Latinx folks across the U.S., many far from where we started, community becomes our home. At Somos Seattle, we uplift each other with compassion, authenticity, and pride.
๐ซ Whether itโs a friend who checks in, a coworker who understands, a group chat that keeps us laughing, or a community that holds space for us, we honor the love that keeps us grounded.
โจ Hereโs to our chosen familia.
๐ Somos Seattle has donated $500 to the Parent Resilience Program. 15 families received holiday gift cards, offering immediate relief during a vulnerable time.
๐ Somos Seattle in partnership with responds to a critical need for families who are navigating postpartum depression and not typically eligible for other support programs.
๐ The donation helps cover essentials, reduce stress, and remind families theyโre not alone. Itโs timely care with dignity, and meeting community where they are.
๐ This season consider donating to a cause close to you.
๐ If youโd like to donate to Somos Seattle or Perinatal Support Washington:

๐ซ From Somos Seattle, happy holidays and feliz navidad!

๐The holidays can bring a whirlwind of emotionsโฆ nostalgia, anxiety, gratitude, and everything in between.
๐ For many in our 2SLGBTQ+ Latinx community, this time of year can feel complicated. Distant from home, family dynamics, and cultural expectations can be a lot to process.
๐ In Somos, we hold space for your journey, your roots, your identity, and the many emotions this season brings.
๐ซ We would like to uphold that you belong here, you are seen, and are valued while existing in all your truths.
๐๐ฝ Thank you for being part of our community.
