We strove for simple volumes when designing this home on Mercer Island. A large pivoting wall reveals a concrete entry wall that continues from the exterior into the home. The appearance of continuity requires care attention to detail to hide the thermal breaks between elements while staying true to the design intent.

Making the most of a tight lot in Yarrow Point by turning the entry into an oasis and framing the glass artwork within.

This small alcove shower could have been a dark afterthought but we utilized a skylight sized to match along with simple white subway tiles to turn it into a glowing shaft of light.

When discussing a mirror vs a view of the treetops our clients opted to prioritize the view which we framed with walnut storage.

Our clients in Sandpoint had a special request to separate their kitchen from the main living space when wok cooking. To maintain the visual connection but amplify ventilation we opted to use a sliding glass door.
