I love going out after a light rain in autumn. The leaves are hydrophobic, so the water beads up and creates these unique droplet patterns, magnifying their veins which look surprisingly like countless suburban cul-de-sac neighborhoods.

Clouds: sometimes you want them, sometimes you don’t ☁️
That’s the nature of timelapses. I love a dynamic cloudy scene during all hours of the day, but really prefer an almost cloudless night for astrophotography. I’m just happy to get a few Milky Way frames between all the fogginess looking at ❄️ 👑

1 year ago today, I had the absolute pleasure to witness the stunning Aurora Borealis in the Mt Baker backcountry. I had tracked the forecasts and it looked promising, but words simply can’t describe the experience and emotions felt when we woke up from our abbreviated sleep to see the sky filled to the brim with moving colors. A once in a lifetime experience I’ll never forget.💚
