Tomorrow! Life doesn't really slow down in your twenties, just got back from San Francisco, and now on my way to San Diego for a wedding. Really basking in nostalgia this past week, and this song is a good soundtrack for that vibe
jess.draw's artwork also sets the perfect backdrop for it! I think I saw in my email this gorgeous artwork was completed a year ago, and I'm just now getting to the release. Oh well, Gallaway's only getting better and quicker

NEW SONG: 7 DAYS

The fact I'm not burnt out already this year is a miracle

So many things, from rehearsals, gigs, the , traveling, weddings, making demos, making backing tracks, etc. I've been taking one day at a time, and now it's almost February. And honestly, I'm currently loving the chaos

I'm just starting to get to the point where Gallaway can do more of the music creation process with just me (plus some arranging help and guidance from my secret weapon ). Which means, lower costs and more music to get to y'all sooner

We're releasing a song in a week, and it's a special one to me: a bass-focused instrumental called Rain or Shine

-the first ever bass instrumental I've ever written
-produced by me and Seven, mixed by Seven
-first song I wrote during the pandemic
-written for/about my friend

It's the song I play that quiets a room, and that calms my mind when it gets too busy. And it's about time I share it with you

January 27th. Happy belated birthday Dan πŸŽˆπŸŽ‚

GALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN: 7 DAYS

Whoops I missed yesterday, but oh well, life keeps on life-ing, right?

I got to work with Justin pretty closely prepping for Capitol Hill block Party with Tinsley, and saw him DJ a few times outside of that. I'm excited for him to close out the night, because he said the words "The 1975" when talking about the style of the Galloween set and you BEST BELIEVE I'm gonna be on that dance floor like I'm at a wedding

Catch Justin throw us a dance party immediately after the Gallaway set, October 27th at Bad Bar, 10-11pm

GALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN: 9

Equipped with a marmalade voice and a keen brand of fashion, Seiichi's just one of those dudes that just radiates cool. He's Bruno Major with a groove (okay he's a lot more than that, but that's what first comes to mind for me). Sunday Afternoon's guitar riff plays in my head rent free, and I'm not mad about it. You'll have to catch one of Seiichi's full-band shows sometime, Seven plays sax and shreads (which, should be a given if you've heard him play)

See Seiichi (as a solo set) perform at Galloween, October 27th at Bad Bar, 7:30-8pm

GALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN: 10 DAYS

I met Tinsley at a Sofar Sounds show in the before times. We didn't talk much, but back in February she reached out asking if I wanted to play drums with her for Capitol Hill Block Party. I spent a majority of the pandemic learning drums, and I remember being so worried that I wasn't going to be solid enough for this gig. I've played bass for dozens of concerts, but only a few times on drums for small crowds. We played to a packed Neumos, and it was probably the most fun I've had on a stage. Tinsley, thanks for reconnecting, and I'm excited for what we work on next!

Tinsley's music is infectious electronic pop that keep you swaying in your bedroom well past midnight. Give Too Bad a listen, and go tell Tinsley and Justin Hartinger how much you love the track

See Tinsley perform it live at Galloween, October 27th at Bad Bar, 8:15-9pm
