The Shed
The Shed is a multi-use space for Pilates and dance instruction, artist residencies, and hourly rentals.
Ian demonstrates the Flat Back from the Short Box series on the Reformer. The Short Box Series asks for pelvic stabilization to afford spinal articulation and hinging at the hip crease. I sometimes ask folks to imagine the hips like the spine of a book that they open in both directions. This helps engage the opposition of the action and give equal care to upper and lower body.
