We're deeply grateful to Paul Dorpat and his immeasurable contributions to King County culture. Read more here: bit.ly/3Qjc1DN

Huge shoutout and thanks to Woodland Park Zoo staff and Carson the red panda for showing us their new Forest Trailhead space earlier this week! 4Culture staff got to feed Carson and some tree kangaroos, and try out some exhibit floor experiences like scavenger hunts and turtle measuring. A very exciting - and adorable - Monday!

We’re ready for the for the FIFA World Cup! To mark Seattle’s role as a host city, we partnered with King County Metro and Sound Transit to commission a limited-edition, artist-designed ORCA card for the region’s transit system.

Created by local artist Alison Bremner, the card transforms a familiar piece of transit infrastructure into a pocket-sized work of public art that will circulate throughout the tournament and beyond.

Get your cards (while supplies last!) at ORCA vending machines and where transit passes are sold.
