We are so excited to announce that Modify Hair Lounge is officially a certified Green Circle Salon. Green Circle Salons offers a comprehensive recycle and repurposing program that ensures hair, foils, color tubes, plastics, papers, and chemicals get diverted out of our waste and water streams. This means that between 85%-95% of waste from the salon will now be diverted out of our landfill spaces. If you want to learn more about the program, visit www.greencirclesalons.com

There has been a lot of questions regarding salons being open 6/1 in Seattle. We would like to clarify that king county is not eligible for Phase 2 yet, and they have added a new “modified phase 1.5” that King county has applied for today. If that is allowed for King county, it would only allow for salons to have a 25% capacity and only 30 minute appointments would be permitted per client. This does not allow enough time for any quality services to be performed, so we will likely remain closed until Phase 2 officially starts. We anticipate this to be at least a couple of weeks, but as we have been doing so far, will just have to patiently wait and see. Thank you again for your continued support and we will continue to keep you updated if anything changes.

We are so amazed and grateful for how much support we have had from our friends, family and community. We have surpassed our original goal, and will continue to keep the fundraiser open as we navigate through what lies ahead.
