ISANG KAGAT LAHAT BALAT (part 2)
I learned alot about lumpia as I dove DEEP into this project. All the best lumpais in the world have a filling to wrapper ratio of 10:1 or greater (see for yourself in my earliest posts). The common street lumpias are the exact opposite. When I inquired about this it was because its cheaper to make, even if it meant there was no flavor beyond the flavor of the wrapper.
What we want to do at Loumpia is bring the experience of the best lumpia in the Philippines here to Seattle and that means not only a bigger lumpia but one that focuses on depth of flavor. So we make each of our lumpia big ~1/4lb each.
Comparing one of our lumpia $7-8 to a typical set of lumpia one would get for $10-$15 we want to demonstrate the value we offer at Loumpia.
We offer handmade fresh lumpia that is never frozen (unless required- i.e. turon, halo halo) . One of our lumpia maybe more than one of a typical lumpia but one of ours is equal to 5-6 of a typical lumpia at a fraction of the cost.
Isang Kagat Lahat Laman at Lasa is our motto at lumpia. Come give us a try!
Bring your fresh made lumpia and I'll trade you mine for yours ! ( frozen lumpia does not qualify 😉- its easy to tell frozen ones)

When we started to think about a Seattle Lumpia we of course it's gotta be salmon! Then we use local distillery, 2bar for the marinated and finish. We use Eva's wild for our Sockeye Salmon lumpia. For the OG'S you may remember this lumpia from last year, the Single Malt Sockeye Salmon Lumpia. It's now a permanent fixture on our menu as the Seattle Lumpia!

Ours is on the left and store bought on the right. The difference is night and day. It tastes like home, the other tastes like a distant memory.
