On this day in 2016, our 2nd album SECRETS was released. It felt like we were just getting started, and there was something really special about the exploratory direction that this one took. It was denser and darker than our first, more collaborative, orchestral and hard hitting and I was trying out dreamier elements in production that made us excited about the world we were creating. It was the first album where we got to truly the country and to watch it build and to feel the propulsive energy and love at shows. It felt so purposeful and alive, that’s always the aim right? My deepest love for Peter, Elliot (this was his first album!) Gary, Darrell Thorp for his insane engineering, Luke Vander Pol who co produced, engineered and mixed it , John Raines for writing the sickest bass line for Secrets, Matt Wignall who created the album art & visuals and everyone who’s been with us all this time. Eternally grateful for the support. We could not have journeyed this far without you. ♥️🌹♥️🌹

Huge thank you to all of the listeners who voted Billboard Heart as the #2 record of the year. The list has so many of my favorite albums on it and it’s such an honor to be included. Impossible weight turns 5 today. Our pandemic trust fall release, an album that took us to new places even though we weren’t able to tour on it in the typical way. I remember moving through grief & writing shattering the hourglass while my friend richard swift was in hospice down the street. Having a wierd electronic demo that sounded like NIN had a baby w/ bjork & how it eventually found its place in Lights Out. We tried new things as a band in the studio , Peter was encouraging me all along to produce the album and I slowly stepped out of a long season of depression and into a new and more confident territory. There was the joy of getting to sing with Sharon Van Etten for the first time on Impossible Weight & making that music video while dragging our guitar solo box all around WA with Ty. I loved making the album with my co producer Andy, the trust & friendship that paved the way for us to work on Billboard Heart together. It’s a brooding album full of heart and a deep well of vulnerability & it’s incredible to hear at basically every show we play how that album helped carry many of you through that time. I cherish those stories. Thank you for allowing us to help soundtrack your lives.

Today also marks 7 years of no smoking for both Peter and I. Very grateful for that.

Lastly we’re ONE MONTH away from our biggest hometown show yet at The Paramount. It’s a dream of ours to sell it out , help us get there !! Link is u know where. Love you all ♥️🌹♥️🌹♥️
