Well do we have the perfect senior pugs for you who also love tapioca pudding and 8pm bedtimes. So please, pull up a barkalounger and take a leisurely sunday stroll through our seniors.

Find one that strikes your fancy, send us an email because we no longer accept faxes and we’d be happy to tell you more!

🌲🐾 Introducing COCO 🐾🌲

CoCo is a recent owner surrender. Her family loved her so much, but wanted better for her. CoCo is crate trained, friendly, playful, and she does well on a leash, rides well in a car, loves chewing on bones and playing with toys. Her foster says she’s extremely sweet!

CoCo is a big girl at 29 pounds. While she is a bit overweight, she’s still pretty active! Smaller meals and frequent short walks will get this little love feeling her best. We will be looking for a home that wants to help CoCo with her fat camp.

CoCo is currently en route to Washington and will be fostered in the greater Tacoma area ❤️ apply today for this amazing pug! 🐾💖

🌲🐾 Introducing BRONCO 🐾🌲

Bronco came in as an owner surrender a few days ago. His family no longer had time for him as they were not home enough.

Since he was an owner surrender, we know his exact age! Bronco is 1, almost 2 years old -/ his birthday is June 16. He is an active and affectionate young guy that loves everyone he meets - other dogs and humans of all ages. Bronco is not cat tested.

Keep an eye on Bronco! We are still learning about him and will keep you updated. Bronco is currently being fostered in SoCal and heads to WA soon, where he will be fostered in Tacoma.

🌲🐾 Adopt KOI 🐾🌲

This lovely lady came into rescue as an owner surrender and she’s settling in just fine! Koi’s loving foster home has been keeping us updated on this sweet girl. Although she’s a bit overweight and gets short of breath easily, this girl wants to play!

The vet had recommended she lose a few pounds before any surgical procedures, so she’s currently on her weight loss journey with smaller portions and frequent short walks.

This doesn’t stop Koi from going to her forever home, as long as you can commit to the follow up appointments near Bellevue. Koi will be adopted out with an addendum letting you know how all the things EPR will cover when she does reach her goal weight.

Apply for sweet Koi today! 🩷🐾🌲

🌲🐾 Introducing PIERRE 🐾🌲

Pierre has come to Evergreen Pug Rescue an owner surrender, when his family had to move and they couldn’t take him with them. It broke their heart, but we are glad they are entrusting us to make sure we find him a soft spot to land for his golden era.

We are still getting to know this sweet senior but he did get neutered, vaccines, heartworm test, and a full exam yesterday so he’s almost ready to go home. We are so excited he’s here. Stay tuned! 💖

Mariah, now Mia, was a foster fail for one of our new foster families. A foster fail is when a foster family decides they cannot live without their foster dog and they adopt! To me, foster fail = adoption success. Mia’s family shared the story of her foster journey and how she’s doing

“My first contact after submitting my foster application was with Heather. She was warm, informative, and reassuring from the very beginning. I was excited to get started, especially after recently losing my last pug. We’ve had pugs for over 20 years, and to us, they are the only dogs — LOL! I was looking forward to fostering and spending time with different pugs, and eventually hoped to adopt a male pug someday.
A short time after, Heather contacted me because Mariah needed to move from her current foster home to another placement, and I happily agreed to help. Heather was incredibly helpful and even arranged for the foster parent to meet me partway since I was about an hour and twenty minutes away.
Sarah, the foster mom, was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, helpful, and made everything so easy to coordinate.
After only five days, we knew we could not let this sweet little pug go. She is everything we could have hoped for and more. We never expected to “foster fail” so quickly, especially as first-time foster parents! Heather clearly understood our needs better than we did ourselves and gave us the opportunity to welcome Mia into our family.
Throughout the process, Heather was always available to answer questions and guide us every step of the way.
I truly believe Evergreen is an amazing rescue organization that serves both pugs and people with grace, compassion, and wisdom. “Thank you” hardly feels like enough. We are beyond grateful for our little girl, Mia, and for everyone at Evergreen who helped bring her into our lives.
Mia is thriving here. She has neighbor dogs she loves to play with, and we take walks every day — she gets so excited when it’s time to go! My husband constantly says she is the best dog ever.
We are absolutely open to fostering again in the future and would love the chance to help more pugs while they wait for their forever homes.”

🌲🐾 Adopt PEANUT 🐾🌲

Peanut came to us as an owner surrender last year with pyometra threatening her life. They could not afford the surgery required to save her, so they turned to us. First we said yes to helping Peanut, but then we asked, how can we keep Peanut in her home?
We were able to save Peanut's life and keep her in her home at that time. However some things have changed in her family's life and they reached out to Evergreen Pug Rescue for help for a second time. This time they have entrusted us to find her a forever family for her golden retirement era.

Peanut is currently in a loving foster home, recovering from her recent dental. Now that she's all polished up and medically cleared, we are searching for her perfect fit! Her foster mom says she is so well behaved. She generally gets along with the other pugs in her home, but can be a little bossy. This sweet girl has had no accidents, as long as she has regular potty breaks. She rarely barks and loves her treats, but is not a beggar! She's a cuddle bug that loves being pet and sleeping with you. Peanut is in good health, likes being outdoors, and going for walks.

🌲🐾 Adopt OTIS 🐾🌲

Otis is an owner surrender that came in when his family’s situation changed. He was well loved and taken care of and it shows in his behavior and personality! This boy is a well adjusted and sweet Velcro pug that is house trained.

Otis had a grade 4/4 luxating patella and he received surgery for it last month. The recovery is long and restful, but we know it will be worth it for his pain to be gone. His restrictions end in a few weeks and we are so excited for him!

With that being said, that doesn’t stop Otis from going to his forever home as long as you’re in the greater Seattle area and willing to take him to his follow up appointments, covered by EPR of course.

We are accepting applications for Otis either way, but we will be prioritizing approved adopters that will commit to continuing his medical care and visits, following our vet’s advice. If you’re cool with that, apply today!
