The trident 🔱 was the tool of Poseidon in Greek mythology but appears in many cultures, often symbolizing power. It’s only fitting that the the Mariners have often had a trident as part of their symbolism… they have the power to lift us up and bring us together or to completely destroy us. Let’s see what their power has for us this year.

Did you know that Seattle didn’t gain the nickname Emerald City till 1981? The Convention Bureau held a contest to pick a new nickname and Emerald City won. Before that one of the most common nicknames used was Queen City of the Pacific Northwest… which is a nice name, just a bit long for a hoodie.
