One of the brake springs broke on the Passap last week, so over the last couple of days I took the machine apart, did some cleaning, replaced the spring, and Im glad to report we're back up and running!

Now its back to work on patterns for home accessories. I also recently updated the website, Ive got new colors of Pima and Cotton/Linen yarn, and there will be an end-of-season beanie sale starting TOMORROW!

Working on making some nice things and helping other people make some nice things for themselves and their loved ones.

It may be April 1st but this isnt a joke! Ive got three beautiful new colors on Pima Cotton in DK and Organic Cotton/Linen in fi*****ng weight, both available now on the website!

If youve been following alone, Ive been working on some home accessories. Lots of samples at this point but Im working toward some patterns to share. Im really excited about the Cotton/Linen lately.

Theyll be relatively simple patterns, and Im hoping to make them available for both machine AND hand knitting. If you like a big, mindless project you can work on while watching or listening to something, these patterns will be great for that.

Spring colors available April 1st! There are three new colors on my 100% Pima Cotton and 60% Organic Cotton/40% Linen bases (Cotton/Linen is pictured, see yesterdays post for the Pima!)

This yarn is great for home accessories. Im working on some hand towels, bath or kitchen mats, and other home accessories and will be making patterns to share.

Im excited to start sharing the spring collection! This season, Ive got three new colors on 100% Pima Cotton in DK and 60% Organic Cotton/40% Linen. These will be available on the website April 1st.

Pictured is the Pima Cotton. Pima is a type of long-staple cotton like Egyptian cotton, which means its softer and stronger than regular cotton.

While its not hard to find Pima or other types of fancy cotton, long-staple cotton only makes up about 5% of the worlds cotton crops. This is gonna be great for home accessories and summer wear!

I notice a lot of people who enjoy yarn tend to worry about how much they have and whether or not its ok for them to buy more.

If its a matter of not having enough money or space or something like that, I get it, but I get the sense its something deeper.

I dont mean to encourage overconsumption but I get the feeling that some of these people think its not ok for them to enjoy the things they enjoy, and thats certainly something I can relate to.

A new red for spring on our cotton/linen base! I recently started prototyping some towels, rugs, and other home accessories on my knitting machine and will share pics soon.

The most noticable aspects are the unique texture and superior water absorbing quality of the linen, which makes this an excellent choice for bath or kitchen mats and hand towels.

Linen is generally more durable than cotton but combining plant fibers actually weakens the yarn overall, so its more durable than cotton alone but less durable than linen on its own.

Ive looked far and wide, and Im confident we've got some of the best yarn you can find for Sentro and Addi circular knitting machines!

Dyeing cotton/linen is always an interesting challenge since Im starting from a tan or light brown instead of the usual pearly white.

I wasnt sure how a lighter color would work out but boy, am I excited to share the results!
