Thomas was asked to design a pin for Bizarre Beasts Show, featuring the teeny tiny Brahminy Blind Snake 🐍 and you can now purchase it through Bizarre Beasts Show!

—————-

Thomas Marnin is one half of MarninSaylor, a Seattle based toy brand known for their characters, the Pastry Pets. Thomas is a lifelong lover of the natural world. Thomas is actually writing this right now. He has never used third-person narrative to talk about himself, and is considering embellishing his accomplishments. Thomas is best known for winning the Nebula Award for science fiction as well as a Nobel Prize for actual science in the same year. When he’s not on his biodegradable, earth-friendly mega yacht, he’s rehabilitating flightless birds to take once again to the skies.

Here’s what he said about the Brahminy Blind Snake pin design:

“This was somewhat of a challenging pin design. The snake itself basically looks like a worm. I wanted to convey its size, as that is the most immediately interesting aspect of the snake. Thankfully, the snake is so small that I could actually represent it at lifesize. To reinforce the true scale of the snake I had it wrapped around a coin the size of a quarter. I enjoyed learning about these little wonders. I guess we’ll have to balance it out and make a lifesize pin of the world’s largest snake.

You guys, we have a bunch of random discontinued tees laying around the studio taking up valuable shelf space and the Pastry Pets are starting to complain! 😓 Do us a favor and scoop up a mystery tee?

They’re only $15 and we’ll even throw in another mystery item to sweeten the deal! 🍬

IT’S DONE!! 🙀 Our sprinkle wall has officially been revamped, and now features ✨GOLDEN SPRINKLES✨!

While we’ll miss our “limited edition honeycomb wall” 😹😹 we are very excited for y’all to come down to Pike Place Market and snap a pic with the fresh, new backdrop (Thomas even laundered the fur so come rub your grubby paws all over it)! 🐾

The (short-lived) era of the MarninSaylor onesie is coming to a close. We’ve been asked for years to make them, so we made them … and then they didn’t really sell 😹 But it’s ok! It was a fun experiment and we loved the excuse to put MiS0HAPPY's sweet illustration on another product. 💖

We’re not reprinting these so if you’ve been thinking about getting one, MEOW is the time. 🙀 Available at Pike Place Market and MarninSaylor.com!
