You’re seeing this post again, because I deleted it by mistake😭with such a kind comments from .sabi.lens and . So I’m uploading it again. These photos are from July31st Bonfire Gallery opening of my show “Magic Box”, as me and Joan Laage exiting after the show window Butoh performance. She was wearing a kimono with my calligraphy and gold leaf, I was covered with cray( which made my skin looked just like the wall of the building) wearing hand knitted costume( all the material yarn came from goodwill store 10years ago). All of it happened in the historic Panama Hotel circa 1914 by a Japanese architect. After reading the national best seller”Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet” I felt so grateful and honored to be able to contribute something to the hotel. It’s owner Jan Johnston (she is Palmyra Pettison in the book) watched the whole performance and in tears told me, how she wanted something like this to be happening in her building. I’m intending to do more at the Hotel in the future, possibly using the bathhouse( Sento) in the basement! Photos: Ted Youngs
