Beaujo

It’s been a month without our boy. Life feels so different without him. We planned everything we did around him. He was our third musketeer. Anywhere I was, I could look over and see his little face watching me. I know they say, it gets easier with time…but it feels like you just get used to the heartbreak. 💔

Our sweetest boy. How have you been gone over a week? I want to thank everyone for all of the kind messages. I apologize if I haven’t personally responded, the pain is just too much. We’re trying to adjust to our new normal…I don’t know if we’ll ever get used to it 💔

Our sweet boy took his last two breaths with us in bed this morning. Even in death, he was perfect.

To have known Beaujo, was to love Beaujo. I’m so grateful for the extra time we got with him, however it never would’ve been enough. We always joked that Beaujo was a human in another life. He was the best companion that we never deserved or expected. Thank you for the kind messages about the happiness Beaujo brought everyone. His memories will live on with us forever.

Beaujo recently had more labs drawn and we are surprised, yet again, they continue to improve! We are so grateful for any extra time with him. Thanks for following along!

Our sweet buddy is doing so well. His labs either continue to improve or remain stable. We’re currently working on treating his anemia that is occurring as a result of his kidney failure. The drug he needs is $1000-$1500 USD for a month of treatment, however we were able to road-trip to Canada and obtained the drug for $110 USD. We’re so grateful to have that option 🙏🏼 Thanks for following along!

For those following along, Beaujo has been improving! This is a photo I took yesterday on a 1.5 mile walk that we took! He gets supplements, special food and every week his labs are improving! His kidneys are still in poor shape, so we know our time is limited, however we’re so grateful for this extra time that we’ve been blessed with. We just want him to be happy and comfortable. Thank you all for continuing to check in! Your support is greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

If you’ve been following our stories, you know that Beaujo’s chronic pancreatitis and kidney disease are progressing rapidly. We’re doing everything we can to keep him comfortable and happy.
